MBA M1 - Silent Clicking not working

Using a new MBA M1 and enabling/disabling "Silent Clicking" in Sytem Preferences > Trackpad does absolutely nothing. Saw posts online that this "feature" may or may not be broken... anyone with an M1 Air can test for me?

Silent Click not working on macOS Ventura I am on macOS Ventura(13). And I noticed that silent clicking was not working any more. I tried running my M1 MacBook in safe mode and also restarted in while power input connected, but nothing seems to work. Any help is appreciated.

Trackpad Clicking Sound I have MBA M1 I just notice that when I try to click there is no "clicking sound" unlike the things I see in the movies like when they click a link in website there is a clicking sound, mine isn't.. I am new user of MBA.. :)

MacBook Air M1 trackpad issue The trackpad on my MB Air M1 is frustrating the heck out of me, and it's not just one issue. Sometimes, it just won't click. Other times, it will click but not drag. And still other times, it will only highlight text and not allow me to click out of it. It's random and, when it starts doing this, sometimes my Magic Mouse will have the same issue. A few times though, I've been able to start using the Magic Mouse and that kind of wakes up the trackpad's functionality, guess it starts feeling insecure about itself or something. Please tell me there's a fix for my possessed trackpad.

I have a M1 MacBook Air and I've had this issue since I first got it in December. Has Apple found out about this yet? I filed a bug report back in January.

Same problem on my MBA M1. The problem appears for me after the BigSur 11.2.2 update.

Any news from Apple ?
