Camera on IPhone 12 Pro Max not focusing

Same Problem here in Austria. 12 Pro Max 256GB. Close no focus. With iphone XS Max or 11 no problem. i give apple 14 days to fix the software bug. if not, i send phone back.

This problem do not fix a setting! This is a software problem!

I see that too. It is absolutely a NOGO that a newer model is somehow worse than the models before it! not at a price of 1300 €!

You should complain about that. If the phone is not working how you expect it to then you should raise ****. This is such BS from a big company like Apple.

I actually too mine to the apple shop, they checked it out and said software issue, and that was it, no explanation, but try talking so someone through glass with mask on!!

They have replaced my phone and it still cannot do closeup shots.. or macro shots.. but the iphone 12 pro works better.. I wish they just replace it with iphone 12 pro

This was at an Apple authorised dealer, not at a Apple store, and the salesman was not very knowledgeable. Said he was not aware of this issue and would bring it to the notice of the store manager. That was all, not very helpful unfortunately.

I have same problem in South Korea and my iphone 12 pro max is updated iOS 14.2.1ver.

Is this a software problem?

I tested camera zoom ratio ranges 0.5~12x, and the focusing problem is only occurring in 1x~2.4x ranges.

I am also experiencing auto focus issues for close up objects for all environments whether indoor or outdoor

It is always a hit or a miss for me

I paid a whooping $1800 for my 12 pro max here in India.I am utterly disappointed

Its a shame for Apple’s such expensive devices to exhibit this behaviour

I couldn’t agree more and will be returning my 12 pro max ASAP and will wait for Apple to try to address this issue.

in the meantime I’ll enjoy my 11 pro Max that I can actually get close photos with 👌🏼

I want Apple’s official statement on this issue and confirm to us users who have spent their hard earned money whether it’s a hardware issue or bug and whether Apple’s gonna fix the same through updates or swapping new devices

I totally agree! I just returned my phone until I hear about a sure solution. This is so frustrating especially when I need a full functioning camera daily. Very dissatisfied.

Hopefully Apple addresses the issue ASAP
