I am wondering if someone has already connected successfully the old but still wonderful Apple Cinema Display in its native resolution (2560x1600) to one of the new Apple Silicon M1 computer through USB-C link ?
I am interested in buying the brand new M1 ship Apple Mac Mini.
I remember that a solution had been found for the Mac Mini 2018 Intel based line through the USB-c link.

As I said, screen works flawlessly, including the speakers and the controls of brightness and volume from the keyboard. And the USB ports on the back of the screen (where I plugged in a lightning cable to sync iPhone and the keyboard). Only port which doesn't seem to work is firewire (I still have an old firewire external drive, which I would have gladly carried on using..).
I managed to by using a ThinkPad Pro Dock - I think I discuss it above. It was around $20 on eBay :)
Ah, do you mean it creates a display profile within Display Preferences that you then see when you plug in another display? Did you try what I suggested above?
I use it and have had zero issues with both the M1 and MacPro 2013
I can connect my ACD 23 and 30 to my M1 Mac Mini but I don’t have two 30” to test with
Tried Uptab unit for my Mac Mini M1 and Apple Cinema 30” Could not get native resolution or even close. Burned $35 in the failed experiment.
The OWC Thunderbolt display with Mini Display port element all those issues.
