Printers compatible with Big Sur

Konopacki, I am sorry to hear about your problem. I have some input that may be useful. First, it is important to understand that it is not a case of a printer being compatible with Big Sur. It is always a matter of whether the printer manufacture provides up to date software that is compatible with Big Sur. You do still have an alternative. I suggest that you download and install the scanning app VueScan. There is a fee for it, but you can test it to see if it works for free. It is a full featured scanner software that is well supported. I purchased it and I recommend it. I am not associated with VueScan in any way. I hope this helps.

The Canon TS3320 is listed in the AirPrint document that VikingOSX posted so it apparently is AirPrint capable. Is that the same as the Pixma TS3320? From my search it appears so.

I downloaded from the App Store HPSmart and that seemed to fix my non-scanning issue.

But from the Mac I have to switch off the printer once it’s connected I can print that’s after Mac, printer, router have all been rebooted.

Since there is not any information from Brother about plans to offer macOS 11 Big Sur drivers for the printer in question (as far as I can see), you will probably have to rely on others to suggest workarounds. You could of course check whether an existing printer driver would work (may be limited by the operating system's built-in security technology).

Could you not connect the Samsung XPress M2880FW wirelessly, or via Ethernet, to the router (Time Capsule)? That is also the way to use AirPrint (not to be confused with AirPort printing via USB).
