M1 chip compatibility with Elgato
Can anyone tell me whether Camtasia, Elgato CamLink 4k and Logitech 922 are compatible with the new Mac Book Pro/Air....before I go buy one?
Thank you.

Do you have a link?
ClonerAlliance Flint 4KP Plus? $180 ish
Have you actually input 4k camera video into OBS and recorded the result and confirmed there are no dropped frames?
phil
I don't think the ClonerAlliance Flint 4KP Plus is a 4k capture into OBS. The video you linked to only shows 1080 into OBS. I am trying to find a 4k capture solution for M1 macs.
It does seem like Elgato do not really care about the Mac based on my last reply.
What is the "direct thunderbolt adapted connection" that you got to work?
phil
Report back if you do test the Epiphan. So far there is no confirmed 4k capture on the M1 (without dropping frames)
Will do, however I will test the Elgato60s+ first. Heard from two sources that this should work, costs only half the price!
The video test file I uploaded to YouTube is 4k, might take a while to process.
ok. Can you make another clip with some obvious motion like slow waving at the camera.
hey guys... I just wanted to say I dont think the HD60S+ is not 4K
Unless there was some update it only passes through 4K signal but captures it at 1080p.
or am I not understanding something?
Ah ok 4k passthrough is different from actual capture.
M1 4k capture remains illusive.
I may have found a solution.
What did not work (still choppy, loosing frames):
What seems to work:
Seems we have to give up one of the precious Thunderbolt Ports but a least it CAN work on M1 without additional hardware
I do not use any third party software, though
