iPhone 12 Pro Max Bluetooth Issues

Hello,

I am having Bluetooth connection issues with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I could not been able to connect my iPhone to my headphones. (Denon AH-GC30). My iPhone does not see my headphones. Below what i did before asking this question.

I checked my headphones with my iPhone 7 plus - It works.

I checked my headphones with my Macbook Pro - It works.

Then i checked Bluetooth versions - both iPhone 12 Pro Max and my Headphones support version 5.

Lastly - i restarted my iPhone, updated to last version of iOS, reset network settings, but Bluetooth of my iPhone Does not see my Headphones.

What is wrong with it? Why such expensive phone, do not see my headphones, but my old iPhone does? Both have the same iOS 14.2.1.

(P.S. - could not select iPhone 12 Pro Max in device field, it does not exists here)

I had the same issue - I have a pair of over ear headphones in the app for my headphones, I had to reset the devices that my headphones were paired to. Once I cleared that list, it immediately connected my phone. In short, reset your headphone so they are like new.

My 12 pro max started having problems w latest update w my Mercedes c300 2016. Worked perfectly until now. Music and phone shows it’s paired and plays but no sound as if on mute. I’ve paired again. Same result. Only solution is to turn Bluetooth off for like 5-10

seconds and turn it back on once car is turned on. Then it works until the next time when car is off.

I agree. Most Bluetooth devices, or many at least, are ''universal'', which of course is the design of the technology. One should not need additional drivers, software or firmware to make it possible for these devices to connect and function on a basic level. I have some Bose products with their own apps, but they will work without them. The apps just add more bells and whistles, whether they are needed or not. Supposed to make one feel better for paying a ton I think. LOL

Yes they told me same its a 3rd party issue.

if this is a 3rd party issue, why did I have no issues with my iPhone X and have bluetooth issues with my iPhone 12 pro.

Apple saying this is a 3rd party problem is bad business. This thread is long and it is a PROBLEM. Hire the right people and fix my problem Apple, its your device I dislike when it doesn't work correctly, not my 3rd party accessory.

I have the same problem. Bluetooth speaker (Sony SRS-X5) that works fine with my iPhone SE 2020 will not pair with my iPhone 12 mini. I have tried all of the generic suggestions (restart speaker, restart phone, reset network settings). The iPhone bluetooth works, it pairs with other devices. The speaker works, it pairs with other iPhones. It seems that Apple changed something about bluetooth, and it is no longer compatible with some devices. I'm afraid devilzombies911 is right, Apple will claim it's not their problem. But they changed something, and now some bluetooth devices don't work. Why not admit and fix it?
