iPhone 12 Pro Max Bluetooth Issues

Hello,

I am having Bluetooth connection issues with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I could not been able to connect my iPhone to my headphones. (Denon AH-GC30). My iPhone does not see my headphones. Below what i did before asking this question.

I checked my headphones with my iPhone 7 plus - It works.

I checked my headphones with my Macbook Pro - It works.

Then i checked Bluetooth versions - both iPhone 12 Pro Max and my Headphones support version 5.

Lastly - i restarted my iPhone, updated to last version of iOS, reset network settings, but Bluetooth of my iPhone Does not see my Headphones.

What is wrong with it? Why such expensive phone, do not see my headphones, but my old iPhone does? Both have the same iOS 14.2.1.

(P.S. - could not select iPhone 12 Pro Max in device field, it does not exists here)

I had the same issue - I have a pair of over ear headphones in the app for my headphones, I had to reset the devices that my headphones were paired to. Once I cleared that list, it immediately connected my phone. In short, reset your headphone so they are like new.

I’m having this issue with my car. The car recognizes the phone. The phone recognizes the car but the Bluetooth doesn’t kick in. Sometimes randomly it will connect but just goes off again. I’ve done all the fixed and even got my phone switched by Apple. It’s not the phone!

The phones never had the same name. One was my initials iPhoneX, the new phone was simply named iPhone12pro.

Also i factory reset my car Bluetooth, and only paired the new phone. I don’t even have the old one anymore. My phone still does not work consistently in my car.

It’s been months and I still have the same issue. iPhone has not done anything to fix it. I’ve been on the phone with them numerous times. At this point I just want my iPhone X back. Can they return your old phone???

(I factory reset my cars BT, deleting all pairing. I “forgot device” on my iPhone. I powered off iPhone. I turned on iPhone. I’ve previously checked on find my iPhone that I have no other iPhones connected to my account. I then connected my phone to my car. Both car and iPhone says they are connected.) All of the precious actions I’ve done more than 5 times in the last month each time after the latest iOS update.

if I try to call out, the car says unexpectedly disconnected from device. I have to use speaker. Sometimes randomly an hour or so later the car may just pick up the Bluetooth. It will last for the duration of that call. Then the next call... disconnected again.

Oh and I now have a ticket for driving using my phone (even though it was on speaker) with a serious fine and points on my license. In Jan 2nd I’m calling apple and demanding my iPhone X returned and a full refund. I also have a lot 100 in accessories (screen/case) that I can’t return! I’ve been with apple for YEARS, iMac, ipads, iPhones, you name it. DONE!!!

Nope I had my phone replaced with another phone. Same exact issue. My phone connects to other car Bluetooth but not to mine. Other phones connect to my cars Bluetooth.

it’s an issue between the iPhone 12 and my Hyundai Equus.

Got the exact same issue. Got 2 new Iphone 12's and they will not connect phone calls through the car stereo system. Have had 2 chats with appeal and their engineers still not working. I know my bluetooth is connecting because it will play podcasts, Spotify or any other app with sound and it will pause the podcast when a call comes in and unpause it when the call ends, but will not play the call through the car system. They blame the car, but my iPhone 8 worked and my kids iPhone XR work fine with the car, it is just the new 12's that are not working.

Also having the same issues others are discussing endless searching, not auto connecting to my MacBook Pro through bluetooth. Totally frustrating. Now I know why I never get the newest phone, I usually get one a year old so that they have the kinks worked out.

Got my Pro 12 max today and transferred all data from my 6+ via the Mac finder. All fine, except for the BT connection to my Jabras 75 active pro. Teufel BT speaker works fine, BT Connection established immediately. Re installed the Jabra app without success. iPhone re started, BT on/off, nothing.

works all perfect on my 6 years old iPhone 6+ and my new 1350€ device don’t.
