Loud crackling noise then iPhone 12 shut off

I just had this happen to me also. It shut down and froze turned The Whole screen green and some pixels different colors and made a buzz. Freaked me out. I was at full battery still on charger. Last time I checked the batter health it was at 99 now it’s at 96.

The same thing just happened to me too. My phone made a crackling/electrical sound and my screen turned half pink and black, then it restarted by itself. I was in the middle of playing a game. I got this phone 3 months ago and it’s an iPhone 12 Pro.

I had paused mini motorways in arcade and then my phone had pink dots that where streaking across it in a random pattern but all of them where traveling from top right to bottom left in landscape mode. But they where different sizes! Then it made the crackling noise and the entire screen turned pink. Then it rebooted and seems fine! Does anyone have any idea yet! Is it an app or software on the phone or hardware?!?

This just happened to me literally 5 mins ago. I was watching a video on Facebook and suddenly this crack noise twice and the screen went black and the phone shut down. What the actual..? I was scared and thought I lost my phone forever… but I tried to switch it on and it worked.

i m actually worried now. Apple needs to give us some informations about this. This is not normal at all… for the price we have to pay for a brand new apple phone.

Just had exactly the same issue, except no screen issues. Just had a crackling noise, screen went black, then turned back on with Apple logo. I did note that’s the startup was a lot quicker than it would normally be after it turned off.

Phone just did the exact same thing. If this has been going on since November, it’s becoming a bigger issue.

Just happened to me. Iphone 12 Pro Max at 41%, was opening Safari, when it happened.
