keybord layout uk the @ and “ are in the wrong places.

I have changed to the English (uk) keyboard but they are still wrong? Any ideas or is that just the way it is ?

Are you talking about using a Windows hardware keyboard with your iPad? If not, what exactly?

Apple;s "British" keyboard mapping does not follow the UK standard. It puts @ on Shift 2 and " on Shift '. To swap those you need to have the mapping called "British PC", but I don't think that is available yet in iOS.

You can ask Apple to add the British PC hardware mapping via

(It's silly they have not done so already, it has been on all MacOS versions for many years)

Well that’s helpful. It’s like me supply an american product with a British plug. Yes it can work but it’s not right... thans for the reply
