iPhone 12 can’t speak on phone calls

I am also having this issue. My SO tells me to put on a Bluetooth and that he can only hear me when I use a Bluetooth. If I try to use the speaker option at all, the person on the other end instantly cannot hear me. I am told it sounds like a robot, or like I’m muffled and far away. Video recording and all are perfectly clear, but no luck on the speaker option during calls.

Called Apple Support again yesterday, and went through most of the “troubleshooting” before getting the inevitable “new phone” via Mail. This will be my 4th since December. I sent them screenshots about the issues and troubleshooting from this group. I am hoping they get someone on this to figure out what is going on.

Did anyone try changing to a new Sim card? I've done everything but that to resolve the issue. I'm using speaker phone now and that usually works. But can't use that in public! I can't believe I paid all that money for an iphone 12 pro and it doesn't work properly!!! Next time I'll do better research on purchasing a smart phone!

This is happening to me as well, I took my phone back to Best Buy and they ran diagnostics and found no issues:( yet here we are and people still constantly telling me in middle of conversations they can no longer hear me

I have replaced my phone through Apple 3 times since December. The 3rd time was in late May. If this problem continues, The next time I will be able to request a different model phone. Has anyone have suggestions. Sadly my phone is my connection to the world right now.

I can say I have done this exact list of actions more than one on all the phones I have had, and also did a reset and set up without a backup with absolutely no change. I have found that speaker works most of the time, but like all phones if I am on speaker and they are as well, we have issues. Bluetooth usually works as a patch for a while, but will eventually have the same issues. Just ideas through which I have worked since. December.

Phone noise cancellation doesn’t work anymore. It seemed to for a while but now I’m right back to my phone cutting out on people!

My husband has no problems with his Samsung anywhere or anytime!!! Wish I could afford a new phone!

Ive already gone through hoops with apple and with apple authorized tech and it’s still not accepted as an Apple issue. They keep pointing to Service Provider or SIM card. I really don’t have the time to go through their hoops. But I will look into the SIM card idea when I get the chance.

I also had the same issue below but on the iPhone 12 Pro Max so I took my phone to the Genius Bar they asked me the problem and asked if I could show them this issue so called the same person this happened with multiple times and once they asked that 3 calls worked back to back but the following day I was in town and called the same person and it happened again so unsure if this is a mic problem, signal problem or software. I don’t know what to do is it possible to get a replacement if mobile is 3 week old bought from Apple Store?

This is definitly nit a defective speaker because it only happens one way. Depending on the person initiating the call...

I just bought iPhone 12 mini and having this crazy problem!! Calller cannot hear my voice 99%. I tried with AirPod pros, handsfree and it won’t help
