Find my Iphone doesn't see other Iphones

I have an Iphone 8 with the latest software version. (so do the other phones)

I was seeing my daughters Iphone XR fine on "find my iphone for the last year, until I signed out of Icloud then back in, trying to fix the issue with my sons Iphone 11.

I was able to see his location when he had an iphone 8 ,until a month ago when the phone changed.

I've tried turning off the share option then back on, I've tried having them log out of icloud, then back in, powering off the phones. Nothing works.

I can see MY phones "location", but not theirs. The only other change that happened recently was I changed my phones provider. From Virgin to Telus. Would that have any influence on why this is happening?

Another odd thing happening is that I can send a request to both phones "ask to follow location" and it says "request sent" ,but they never receive a notification? It still shows me that option even though it also gives me the option to "stop sharing location" with them?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Kevin

Hello Kevcules,

Thanks for the additional information.

In this case, let's also check for any restrictions that may prevent you and your children from sharing each others location.

Check out the following support articles:

Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Thanks for replying......I've done all the basic troubleshooting with no success.

I can see both my children's phones in settings/my name/find my Iphone. It says I have the option to "stop sharing location" for both of them. Then when I click on the "find my" app , it takes me to where I can see my phone, but not theirs. When I click on their names, it gives me the option to "ask to follow location" and says "they can see my location". I don't see "me" on their phones and I don't see "them" on mine. I can send them requests , but they never get them.

I've checked the settings on all three phones and they are the same.

Why would I lose my daughters location after I stopped sharing my location with her and signed out of Icloud temporarily???

The only thing that's different lately is I changed my provider to Telus and my son got an Iphone11 from the 8 that worked fine with find my iphone location services.

Any other ideas?
