After upgrade my macbook pro to big sur 11.1 app store app shows a new xcode version (12.3) is available. I click on update button and it stays there forever, progress bar never moves.
I've already rebooted the system just to be extra sure and it keeps doing the same.

I can confirm the same behavior. Mine initially downloaded and the progress bar stalled at around 80% on the visual.
I checked LaunchPad and saw that the app was completely downloaded but not installing.
I tried a reboot since it was hung up and since doing that Xcode 12.3 will not even begin to download.
