fitness plus not finding watch

I had this issue when I first started using Apple Fitness as well. I spoke to the support team and they suggested I uninstall the Apple Home app and reinstall it then restart your iPhone/iPad - it worked for me after I did this. I'm not sure what the technical connection is between this but it worked for me. Hope this helps!

this happened to me too, the only thing that worked was unpairing the watch from my phone and wiping all the data from the watch and restarting it // factory restart.

then it worked.

Had the same problem. My series 6 watch would not connect to iPad. I logged out of iCloud and logged back in using a new apple password. Fixed the problem. Yippee.😊

To me the issue was that my watchOS was not in the most updated version. I updated it and it worked perfectly.

Please make sure your apple watch is updated to watchOS 7.2

In 7.2 they introduce fitness+ support.

Make sure that bluetooth is turned off on all other devices . Then turn bluetooth off on the watch, wait a few seconds and then turn it back on. That worked for my iPad

For me restarting device or downloading Home app didn't work but signing out from Apple ID and logging back in worked. Thanks!!

try pinging your iPhone from your Apple Watch while on the Looking for watch page in fitness+ that fixed it for me. (I had previously reset the watch and restarted both devices, but it still didn’t work after that)

(You can ping your phone from you watch by swiping up to go to control centre and tapping the iPhone icon)

One thing that I tried was logging out of iCloud on my iPhone, deleting the app, and then reinstalling. And of course it worked. But the issue I've been having is with my iPad not being able to see my Apple Watch. (My iPhone always connects to the Fitness app on my watch.) I've been going back and forth with Apple Support on this issue, which intermittently occurs and can be difficult to repeat. As an experiment, I've taken to turning off my iPhone when launching the fitness app on my iPad. And so far, my iPad sees my Apple Watch. (Really strange.) Another thing I've been testing leaving my iPhone in my bedroom and launching the app on my iPad in my living room. (Here what I'm looking at is whether proximity is somehow playing a factor in the iPad not discovering my Apple Watch through Bluetooth.) These are unusual steps I know. But I suspect the having multiple devices talking to Apple's cloud infrastructure doesn't work as cleanly as they might suggest.

I tried all the things. Logging out of iCloud on my iPad, toggle off wifi and Bluetooth etc. All the things everyone suggested. The thing that finally worked on my iPad was closing te app completely and reopening it. How silly. Good luck everyone !

restarted phone, broke it, restarted watch, works now... not sure. It had worked on Apple TV before. No Bluetooth anything except my phone paired to the watch. Latest software.

I understand your concern about Apple Fitness +. To get the feature on your watch you will have to update to the newest version of watches and your iPhone has to be on iOS 14.3.
