Shared folders don't show up on Samsung smart TV

Hi!

I have Samsung Smart TV, specifically UN43RU7100 and I usually use my VLC on Fire Stick to play movies from my shared folder on my MacBook Pro (Intel i5, 4TB ports, 2020, macOS Catalina 10.15.7). Since my Fire Stick is not a 4K device I wanted to try to play some movies directly from TV without having to copy it on USB drive. I have everything set up just fine, shared folders work but for some reason, Samsung TV doesn't see my MacBook whatsoever, but has no problem to browse Windows shared folders. Is there something I can try, or maybe some workaround other than AirPlay which I don't want to use for this specific thing.

Thank you in advance for any kind help!

Hi!

Thank you for your reply. I have my file sharing set up properly - I can easily access shared files from VLC on my FireTV and from other file explorers on other devices. It just seems like Samsung has blocked the option of accessing Shared Files on Macs in favour of AirPlay which is not an ideal solution for me in this case. I can easily access shared files on Windows machine from my Samsung SmartTV, but not the ones on my Mac. It is just strange but it seems to be a intended feature instead of a bug...
