Can't hear received calls on iPhone 12 Pro Max

I have the same problem. Began 2 weeks ago. If someone calls and leaves a message, no message appears - just dead air and no text either. I use this phone for work and for a home based business so this is very bad. I have had luck with turning the phone off and on but it should not happen. I've had iPhones from the time they came out and have never had a problem with any of them. I noticed a new upgrade last night so was hoping it was fixed - nope - still happening today. There is no problem when I make the call.

We are waiting for the software update that addresses this problem. It couldn’t be a hardware problem as this is happening with lot of iPhones. Fingers crossed!

It must be something from them cos theres so many people having the same issue and im sure were not all with the same telco they need to get the issue fixed as it annoying and embarrassing

Maybe if we all post warnings about buying iPhone 12 on Facebook, Twitter etc. Will get Apple reacting and solving the issue...

I am having the exact same issues with my iPhone 12 Pro Max, can’t hear incoming calls once answered, since past couple of weeks. I hope someone at Apple is working on this. It’s very annoying to have to call back every time someone calls you.

This started for me today with my iphone 6. I recently updated software to 12.5.1. A call was dropped first and now I cannot connect to calls. After ringing there is no sound. It resolved for a few minutes after turning airplane mode on and then off, but started again right away. This appears to be an Apple problem rather than a fios problem.

My phone is inoperable.

It happens on every phone call but only inbound calls.

I can make a phone call and everything's perfect when I initiate the call only.

it only has issues if receiving calls. doesn't matter if on speaker phone if I hold my phone to my ear or if I use Bluetooth.

I suspect only since the update was done.

please help. This is discouraging. All of my stuff is apple.

Same issue as many others are reporting with their iPhone 12. I place a call and then I cannot hear unless I put in my wired headphones. I’ve tried turning the phone off and on and it does not help. Already had to have a new SIM card . So far, I’m not too happy with this phone. What are my options?

Yes. I am currently experiencing the exact same issue with my new iPhone 12 pro. I thought it was a carrier issue. I went to my carrier and they replaced my sim card and did a network reset and it worked well for the first week. But started showing the same issue later. I am hoping Apple can fix the issue.

has this issue been fixed for you? What were the steps taken. I’m experiencing the same issue. Even after restarting, a few days later this happens.

took it to apple support and they said the hardware is fine.

I’m having the same problem with an iPhone 12. It’s been to apple to be checked and they replaced the phone. Worked fine yesterday. Today it is back to the same issue. I use this phone for work so very embarrassing to have to keep calling people back after turning off and back on. When is it going to be resolved or is apple refunding all iPhone 12 purchases as these are not fit for business use.

I have the same problem as many of the other posts with my iPhone 12 Pro. When I receive calls and attempt to hear, I hear nothing but when I make a call on the same number, it works fine. I’ve also tried everything hard restart the works. Apple what’s the deal do you have a fix?

I have the same problem and it’s very annoying and frustrating as this is for incoming calls only. Tried turning off the phone and on. But still happens quite frequently. We buy new models expecting them to work better but my old iPhone 7 is much better than this 12Pro.

So, after 15 days or more, it is happening to me again today. No audio on incoming calls(12 pro). It is really frustrating and Apple needs to look in to it seriously instead of irrelevant software updates which really does nothing.

I’m having the same problem again, I had 2 weeks of no issues and now it’s back again.

I use the phone for business and having to hang up on the call to call the person back again.

when will there be a fix for this?

if it keeps up I’ll have to hand the phone back.
