Apple TV won't play music from my library

As the title states, my Apple TV won't play music from my library unless it's part of a playlist. It happens on both of my Apple TVs (HD and 4K) running either tvOS 14.2 and 14.3. My iPhone 12 doesn't have this issue.

Any ideas other than 'make a playlist'?

Some songs not displaying on Music playlists on apple 3rd gen I have a 2nd gen Gen Apple TV and cannot get songs downloaded from my Apple Music subscription to display on my playlists. Other songs I previously purchased (own) are on the playlist but the songs I downloaded from my subscription will not display. This is not an issue on my 4th gen Apple TV and on all of my other devices. Is there a trick to get them to display on my 3rd gen Apple TV?? Need this because 2nd gen is only device that has the separate audio connection for my receiver. Help please

New Music Mix not working on Apple TV First generation Apple TV 4K running tvOS 14.6 will not play the New Music Mix in Apple Music. I'm unable to even view the playlist contents, I just keep getting the spinning wheel of death. New Music Mix works fine on my iPhone and iPad Pro. I've rebooted Apple Tv via menu selection and using the simultaneous 2-button pushing method on the remote, neither resolved the problem.

Same problem- brand new Apple TV, can’t access music that is clearly in my library. I can play on any iOS device except Apple TV. This is a totally new problem for 2020. Any ideas for a fix?

The best solution I can find is to create a new playlist with your requested albums/tracks and the AppleTV will then allow you to play the selection that way...Strange but True!

Same here. I’m pretty sure it happened after the latest appletv update. My apple tv 4k will join my macs and iphones in the “never update automatically” team

Same issue here. Has been working for months with iTunes Match, but now broken with Apple Music. This is clearly a bug, that should be corrected asap. Otherwise why paying for this subscription ?
