Mac OS 10.13.6 cannot print to dell e525w printer

I have an old MacBook Pro (early 2011) running 10.13.6 and having a problem using a Dell e525w printer wirelessly. I can connect to the printer wirelessly, 'find printer' depress the button makes the printer beep, 'supply levels' button, shows the status and levels the ink jet cartridges. The problem is when printing the Dell printer dialog box shows the document name requested to be printed but...above the document name is an error message: "Encryption Crederntials Have Expired". I have had this printer about 3 years and its a good and efficient printer. How do I get past the expired printer credential problem. Is there a process or procedure to delete and replace the expired printer credential file?

Thanks for your assistance resolving this problem.

Hi,

First of all, I noticed that there is a V1.1.5.1, A03 Mac download (released 01 Feb 2019) on the Dell support pages. Could this possibly be of importance here?

Have you checked that the latest firmware is installed?

Anyway, the Dell E525w is mentioned in About AirPrint - Apple Support as a printer supporting the driverless AirPrint technology. This means that a separate driver from the printer manufacturer should not be needed. Have you been using AirPrint printing?

The following article from another company could perhaps be of some interest in this context.
