Hi, does anyone know which adapter came with the iPod classic 160gb late 2009 ?
I have the model no charger : A1102 & A1205
Which one is the correct one and came with it as in the original ?

The A1102 would have been the adapter originally available for iPod classic but as both A1102 and A1205 are USB chargers rated for 5V at 1A either should be able to charge an iPod classic or any other device that can adequately charge at 1A. iPads really need to charge at a higher rate so that is when the first 10W chargers came out. I've a feeling some models in the classic line won't charge on an iPad compatible charger.

That should be the A1102. Both appear to be 5V 1W adaptors but the A1205 appears to be more recent and was also used by the first iPhone.

OK, ignore my earlier caution. As I mentioned I have seen threads where people have claimed that their classic won't charge on higher wattage chargers, but perhaps those weren't necessarily models supplied by Apple and didn't regulate their power properly, or there were other issues with the devices. I have the same model A1401 which came with an iPad. It will charge my classic. Proof of the pudding will be when it arrives and you can test it, but my please accept my apologies for raising any undue worry ahead of its delivery.

Model of ipod is latest classic, charger is the MD836B/B and regular UK plug socket.
You have an Apple 30-pin to USB cable, which is distinct from the Apple Lightning to USB cable, and is clearly marked differently. You have a newer version of that cable. The 30-pin end was larger in older versions.

You'll have to try it and see then. I believe some higher power chargers trigger an overcurrent protection circuit in the classic when then doesn't charge. The exact behaviour may depend on model of iPod, charger, and local mains voltage.

I'd use either Apple or Argos and pay RRP, I don't need that potential hassle that might come with bargain prices.

Take it up with Apple. If you're in the UK I would expect you to be supplied the UK terminal adapter, but I'd also assume you get packaging that reflects the contents. If you're elsewhere then I'd expect you to get whatever the local electrical regulations dictate, again with appropriate packaging.
