Does Apple Care Plus cover scratch damage?

Hi Everyone

I purchased the iPhone 12 Pro Max paid in full and have had it for about a month. I also purchased a leather case for it from apple and a screen protector.

here is my problem the case didn’t protect it much because I dropped my phone for the first time and there is now a tiny scratch on the front side rim. I was just wondering what are my options? I have applecare+ does that cover this damage? It ***** having a scratch on my new phone even tho I’ve had an apple case on it that didn’t help much.
