Video audio has mysterious static sound when playing recorded video using Camera app.

I noticed my iPhone12 Pro has an issue when recording audio when creating a video using the Camera app. The video seems to record a buzzing sound on top of the audio. When watching the video in the Photos gallery, the play head seems to jump when the video plays. The speakers work normally when watching videos from say Youtube, but only seems to produce the issue when recording a video using the Camera app.

I also tried recording video using other apps like Instagram. The issue does not seem to reproduce there.

I took my iPhone 12 Pro Max into an authorized Apple repair facility (Jack Be Click).

After they ran every diagnostic they could, they determined it was a hardware problem. The gears that control the camera's lens auto-focus were slipping.

They told me they see this all the time in older iPhones but this was the first time they saw this with an iPhone 12 series.

Hope this helps!

The microphones work well with other apps Making calls, using the microphones for things like Instagram or Voice Memos, Facetime, etc. The static sounds I hear are being written into the video file itself. I tried airdropping one of the videos recorded using the Camera app onto my laptop and the sound still persists in the movie file played on my laptop.
