AirPods Max keep disconnecting and having trouble reconnecting

I did this too and it’s still disconnecting every time I put them on. Mine now also don’t automatically connect to the phone. Even after changing the settings (face palm emoji)

Thank you for your reply I will also advise you, on/after 3rd April 2021, which falls on the day 3 weeks after I receive the 3rd alternative Airpods Max.

Hard resetting everything doesn't do squat for me.

$600 dollars for headphones and the sound jumps between my phone and my AirPods like a cricket. Steve Jobs would be so proud of what Apple is doing these days.

While i am in a call using the headphones , if another phone or ipad comes close to me while also logged in to the same apple id, it disconnects.

that is not a feature , its a bug.

There should really be an option to turn off the icloud 'follow me' feature because a convenient feature for some, is an annoying bug for others. Or at least a pop up option to reject another device trying to connect, and keep the APMs connected.

There are a couple of options under 'Connect to this phone', or something, which I don't know if they help or not?

The 'follow me' feature works fine for me though. No one else shares my apple account and I never take phone calls through headphones. I like the way the APMs automatically connect to my Mac, Apple TVs etc as I roam around the house. It's far quicker and smoother than having to manually connect/disconnect every time.
