iPhone Apple logo loop
Hi everyone,
My iPhone XS is currently stuck on the Apple logo. Before this problem, my storage was full, and I believe that is what caused the problem. I have tried multiple times to force restart it, but all it does is flicker to a solid black screen for about 5 seconds and return to the Apple logo. After consulting with various Apple chat support for a total of over 5 hours, I tried multiple times to update my phone from my Macbook using the latest software (BigSur 11.1). Although it can prepare and fully update my iPhone, after the progress bar is full, it states, "This iPhone could not be updated. An unknown error occurred (14)." My last Apple support advisor believes that this is due to file/software corruption and recommends a factory reset. I have no backups, nor do I much in my 5GB of iCloud drive. My questions are
- Is there any other way to solve this problem without losing my data (other techniques, 3rd party software, etc.)?
- If not, is there any way I can extract all of my data from my iPhone or, at the very least, my photos?
- And as an absolute last resort, once I do a factory reset, is there any way to recover my data (most importantly my photos)?
Thanks
iPhone XS
