Scrolling direction resets after sleep

Hi,

My trackpad and mouse scrolling direction keeps resetting after the laptop wakes from sleep. I don't like the default feel of it since I'm constantly switching between Windows and MacOS...

Almost every time I wake my MacBook Pro I have to go into settings and just select/deselect the scrolling direction, it doesn't matter if it's checked or not, it just reverts. I don't even know which one it's supposed to do what I want anymore (I think it's natural?), all I know is that I need to do this every.single.time. for my trackpad and my bluetooth mouse =(

I'm running BigSur 11.0.1 on a 13-inch 2020 MacBook Pro.

Hi DarkSlayer645,

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with the scrolling feature on your Mac. We can help with this.

Just to make sure we're on the same page, does the same issue occur if you restart your Mac? You can find out more information about restarting your Mac here: Log out, sleep, wake, restart or shut down your Mac

Do you have any other user accounts set up on your Mac? If so, does the same issue persist if you test in another user account or does it only occur in your user account?

Have you attempted any resets on your Mac since you first noticed the issue? For example, did you reset the SMC or the NVRAM? You can find out more information about both resets below:

Cheers!
