MacBook Pro Killing Charging Blocks

I just moved to a new home and for some reason my Macbook Pro is killing my charging blocks, at first I had assumed it was a faulty cable so I replaced the cable and that didn't work.

When I plugged in one charging block into the wall and then to the MacBook Pro's usb-c port the MacBook Pro turned shut off. So I used the other port and it started charging and then somehow died.

I rest the SMC and PRAM just in case. Now it appears the block is no longer charging my macbook pro however when other USB-C devices are connected it charges them just fine.

Is anyone else experiencing this or has experienced this?

I think the second one details my issue, however I'm not sure if it's the outlet.

The USB-C Apple laptops are not the best in terms of design. All it takes is for one charging port to be bad which may affect all of the other ports. Each USB-C port has separate circuitry for charging and for data (and I'm guessing for powering external devices although I'm not certain). So it is not unusual to see some things work, but other things not work.

It is possible for the charger to temporarily stop working if the charger's internal protective circuitry trips an internal breaker. Unplug the charger from the electrical outlet for a minute to reset the charger's internal circuitry. It is possible that the laptop could damage the USB-C charging cable (especially the contacts within the cable connector). If this happens, then plugging this cable into another USB-C port could damage another port.

Most likely one or more of the USB-C ports is bad (I've seen so many damaged by small amounts of liquid that splash into the port). You should have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop and provide you with an estimate for repair. You should take along your charger(s) and charging cable(s) as well.

Are you running the 11.2 Beta ?

What exact Mac is this?

What macOS are you currently running?

Have you tried a different Power Adapter to test?

If this is a Intel Mac (does not apply to M1 SoC)

Try resetting the SMC several times in a row https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

This cable: USB-C Charge Cable (2 m) - Apple

ships with the the power adapter for your Mac. It is not a general purpose data transfer cable, it is essentially a charge only cable. There maybe some USB2 data transfer but this is inadequate.
