i Pad Pro 11’’ won’t read SD card reader

Hi everyone!


I own an i Pad pro 11’’ some years now. I have an official usb-c to sd card reader in order to import videos from my go pro or photos from my camera to my i Pad in order to edit them. Yesterday, I updated to the latest version iPadOS 14.4

Since then the card reader simply won’t be recognized by my iPad. In fact i also have a usb-c to 3.5 mm headphone jack and it’s not recognized either!!!

What’s going on? Can someone help me? I’m desperate :-(

I invested on an i Pad pro due to its capabilities and portability for processing photos and videos and now I cannot import anything. It’s really frustrating.

Hi music_drops,


We see after updating your iPad Pro to iPadOS 14.4, your USB-C adapters are not working.


To clarify, when attempting to use one of the adapters, do you receive any error or message? Also, when using either adapter, are the SD card or headphones plugged into the adapter first, and then plugged into the iPad?


Should the issue persist after that, restart your iPad: Restart your iPad

Hi!


Thanks for your reply.However the problem is not solved. I’ve tried both options:

  1. connect first the adapters (either the sd card reader or headphones) and then insert the sd carc/headphones accordingly
  2. connect the adaptors (either with the sd card or the headphones) already connected with them

Unfortunately no luck with either option.

Also restarted ipad again nothing changed.

What else can I do?? :-(
