Running Big Sur 11.2 on my iMac. TurboTax 2020 was running OK for several days but eventually got the message "whoops seems we hit a snag". When this initially happened I was able to continue the program, however the next day, after loading the Big Sur update 11.2, TurboTax 2020 would not load at all.
I downloaded and reinstalled my TurboTax purchased software. Same thing.

For all of us having problems with TurboTax not running after Big Sur 11.2 update. I found a reply someplace (?) that suggested a fix or workaround - IT WORKED
I created a new user with Administrative authority. I logged of my current user and logged on to my newly created user. I copied my tax file over, opened it with turbotax and it worked just fine!!!

Still haven't been able to recover files or get TurboTax to run under the original user account. This after updating the OS to 11.2.3, and downloading all the updates from TurboTax. I really hoped one of these updates would fix the problem, but it seems no one is working on it.
Same problem, essentially, but Turbotax just will not launch. It worked yesterday (2/4/20) but not today.
Turbotax will still not launch even with starting up in safe mode. Thank you for replying, though! I'm pretty sure it's a bug in Turbotax software application.

Yes, the shared folder can be accessed by both users. That’s how I did it.
How do you create a new user? Through TurboTax??

I did the same workaround, using another user with admin privileges. Thne same problem pops up in OS 11.3 aND for TurboTax 219, but not 2018. Go figure.
Thank you it worked for me too! I tried the Safe Mode thing and it did nothing also had this problem last year I should have waited to download the Big Sur Install till after Taxes were done! It is aggravating. Thanks again for the info.
Didn't work for me it won't load at all. You don't even have time to move your cursor to top of page to try to click on TurboTax or anything it goes so fast! The creating a new administrative user as mentioned below worked for me. Added new User in administrative mode and loaded Turbo Tax and it updated and everything just fine ? Really weird.
