Can you use a new power supply extender with an old 60w macbook charger?

I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch mid 2012 (Non retina).

I have a L shaped 60w MagSafe charger for it. It said "Input AC 1.5A 100-240 V".

I have a power supply extender from a 2017 MacBook Air and I want to make sure the new extender works with the old charger. The extender says "2.5A 125V". Will the extender work with my old MacBook Pro Magsafe charger?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15
