M1 MacBook Air speakers muted by Blue Yeti Mic

Love my new M1 MacBook Air. purchased the basic blue yeti mic and compatible cord to plug directly into the MacBook. Worked flawlessly until one day I decided to plug in headphones into the blue yet microphone.

It has permanently muted my built in speakers on the MacBook Air when the Blue yeti is plugged in. So on zoom calls I cannot hear the people in the room. you cannot unmute. if you raise volume it drags the volume to mute.

Went to system preferences sound and the yeti is listed in the output sources and can't be removed. Such a weird glitch.

HALP!

The Apple Specialist above posted the link, but I'll post here, too. Go here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063

Basically you restart while pressing Option, Command, P, and R all at the same time until you hear the start-up chime for a second time. Make sure the Mic is plugged in during this process. I say this only because that is what worked for me.

Fingers crossed, this will work for you, too.
