Apple Pencil Glitching

What am I supposed to do when my apple pencil glitches while I am writing down notes on my iPad Pro.

I am a university student and I don't have time for such problems.

Specific Problem: while I am writing down it just starts drawing weird lines and dots all over the screen suddenly.

Hi MichelPM

I wanted to inform you that yesterday with hopes to find a solution before taking the device to apple for a replacement, I was going through comments on a youtube video about this issue and a lot of people mentioned many solutions.

  1. A screen protector might be interfering with the stylus interpretations
  2. The iPad case was emitting a static force or some kind of interference that interfered with the pencil as well

So I removed my iPad's case and the problem was weirdly solved

Nobody has a solution to this.

No one can agree if this is a hardware or software issue or a combination of both.

There is one other long posting about this issue, but its more of a bickering and whining series of posts about this

I believe that this is a palm rejection issue with the iPad's underlying digitiser screen layer.

I have not had any of these types of Apple Pencil issues as I always use a third party, thick, lycra material-based drawing/writing glove that positively isolates the side of my hand/palm from any skin electrical impulse contact with the iPad's screen and I never get any random lines/marks in any of my Apple Pencil/third party stylus compatible apps.

If you wish to try one of these to see if this maybe a fix, at least, temporarily, here's is a drawing/writing glove similar to the one the I use everyday on my own iPads.

Something like these found on Amazon.

Some other glove makers, like these examples, found on Amazon, as well.

but this problem occurred recently, when I started using my iPad the chances of this problem occurring was lower than now.

I think this is really inconvenient and made me desperate to the point where I was thinking of selling my iPad and pencil which are not cheap at all.

I made an investment in them to help me throughout university not to face problems with less than a year of use.....absurd

i only replied to you once because of your following complaint reply as you are looking for a solution to something there is no solution to.

Apple doesn't even have a solution to this.

This Apple Pencil issue is not a common enough or widespread enough issue for Apple to find a cause or reason to this.

This is an isolated issue that is only affecting a very small minority of iPad users.

I have been using third party, Bluetooth stylii and 1st gen Apple Pencil on my 2015/2016 iPad Pro for the last 2-3 years and have had no issues with this.

I suspect that the majority iPad/Pencil users are not having this issue, either.

I gave you sound advice, contact Apple use the Get Support link or download the Support app and use both the Device Performance and Connectivity options to start a chat or phone call.

I am just one user.

There is absolutely nothing I can do for you.

You NEED to contact Apple directly.

By contacting Apple, they will stay aware of this issue and maybe they will, or not, have some sort of solution or advice to give you.

Contact Apple!

Good Luck to You!

I have used my Apple Pencil with my iPad Pro in different cases over the years without issue.

I have had my Pencil for over two years now and have not had any issues with it while my iPad Pro is in a case.

Cases should not be causing issue.

The whole idea of static is just a ridiculous theory, without any proof or real merit.

The only valid explanations are glass screen protectors can be an issue IF the glass screen protector is too thick.

The further away the Apple Pencil is from the actual iPad screen, the less sensitive it becomes.

That is why I always recommend thin, plastic film screen protectors for iPads that use an Apple Pencil, instead.

If your case is causing all of this and your Pencil is back working when the case is removed, your iPad has other issues NOT related to the Apple Pencil.
