Have an Apple TV 4K, OS v 14.4 and this past week it won't activate the app. I turn on the Apple TV and CNN asks me to activate. I enter credentials, it says activation was successful in my browser yet it does nothing in the app. Works fine on my Roku TV. everything is up to date, I've deleted the app, restarted the router, everything but to no avail.

Yesterday I emailed appletv@cnn.com and advised that I'm having troubles activating the app. I also included a link to this thread and noted that many people are having the same problem.
To my surprise, I received an email from CNN today:
Hi –
The issue you describe below has been identified and resolved. It is scheduled for release tomorrow March 23rd 2021. Please reach out if you continue to experience the issue after tomorrow.

I have the same problem as everybody else here. I tried all of the things listed in this thread to no avail. I’m also in Canada and Bell is my tv provider.
I would have thought CNN would care that it appears no Canadians can access their CNN go app using an Apple TV.
I find it almost impossible to reach anyone at cnn, most of the online sources do not have any contact info other than the feedback form
It is like they are completely oblivious to this.
This has been going on for about 2 months from my experience and ive tried to reach out several times.
Maybe someone here or at apple knows how to wake them up to this issue.
My cable provider takes zero responsibility and just pushes this off on others
Have been having the same issue for 2-3 weeks now. The activation is successful in my web browser but the window on the AppleTV with the activation code never closes. Using Rogers. Works fine on other devices.

How do you plan on doing that? CNN is bundled with your TV provider subscription, even at the most modest channel lineup.
It's still not working for me. I deleted the app. Redownloaded and now the activation screen at www.cnn.com/activate doesn't have any place to enter the code. It just says "Activate your device / Get access to all of CNN’s live and original programming" and nothing else. I'm using an Apple TV HD (4th Gen)
Also, on the app site I see the current version of CNN Go app is 2.10.3–Released Jan 7, 2021.
Any ideas?

I have Videotron in Montreal, same here! Unable to login regardless of rebooting Apple TV, modem or router. I have the Apple TV 4K.
Same as me and I’m with Shaw. I can watch on TV and phone but not on Apple TV
