PowerBeats Pro shutting down with battery

When using my Powerbeats Pro, the left earpiece shuts down randomly, even if it shows more than 80% battery on my iPhone. This only happens with the left one, the right one works normally.

How is this marked as solved? This isn't solved. I don't see any response that tells me how to fix my Powerbeats other than buying a new set or earbud and they aren't old enough for that to be a reasonable suggestion. This is disappointing and it really makes me question why I went with the apple product/s in the first place.

I wonder why every review or YouTube comments about Powerbeats Pro don't have any negative sayings or question indicating that there are a major problem with these headset...

at this point we might as well just rename these ****** headsets as "Powerbeats One Side" (only one side working)

So what do we do from here guys? over a half year since someone started talking about it online... who knows how long people actually have had problems before reporting it...

I keep waiting for much smarter people than me to solve this mystery. Seems it is unsolvable by the community itself. The continued lack of solution from Apple speaks volumes about their intent. Will a more visible social media campaign via twitter be a more effective method to get attention to this? There should be no consumer centric reason why an obvious widespread malfunction is not being addressed by the company.

Same happened, I recently updated my ipad pro 2021 to ios 15.1 after pairing PowerBeatsPro the right bud drains battery 🔋 in less than 20minutes,

before i was on ios 14.7 never face the problem even though i had it connected to iPhone 11 pro ios 14.4 still the beats works without a problem on iPhone, but it's only happening with iOs 15.1

Apple needs to fix the bug on IOS 15

Jan 1, 2022 2:50 PM in response to oscarrdz1977

well yes everyone that read this.

i heard u should not update ios and u need to wait because it have many bugs and problem at the start. so when ios 15 arrived i did not update and waited until december and now i have same problem with my powerbeats pro which i did not have any problem about 1 year. it's true that apple doing this to make users buy new products and if not, to repair it cost same as if u buy new ones. totally trash brand just wants money.

it's funny too they planned to this happen after garanti expired. never ever gonna buy apple products!!

After every new update they do something that take battery health down and make us buy new iphones.

i hope they dont delete this the TRUTH!

I have been having the same issue with the left earbuds that die after 20 mins or so and when I insert them in the charging case show up at 55% charge. I took them to apple store (UK) and even agreed to pay battery charge for them to inspect it. They have performed the tests and I got a message saying they were fine with no need for battery replacement!

I am yet to test them again as waiting to receive them but the sad thing is that the Apple staff person said that they have not had other customers report this issue!

This is clearly a firmware issue. Apple can you guys please fix this instead of paying damages in the future and annoying customers in the meantime. I really loved this product before this issue surfaced last year!

I'm having the same issue using an Android device. I have a Samsung S21 Ultra and been using it with my Powerbeats Pro and all of a sudden recently they started dying at 55% battery. Both earphones are having the same issue. I think it happened after an update but am not positive. I do think is a firmware issue with the latest update.

I went for a 1 hour run and the right earbud died after aprox 40mins. At home i put both earbuds into the charging case and charged them for exactly 1minute..

When i opened the case it said the right had 97% and left had 86%.. wich make sence cuz the right only worked through half of the duration.. Of course they both charged abit the one minute they were in the case.

When they came of out the case (with me just charging them, not doing anything else) they both worked.

Its obviously not a battery problem, rather a connectivity problem of some sort.. perhaps a bluetooth blockade (sences its out of range or something and shuts down) or a firmware bug of some sort.

Im not going to spend money to replace it since the warranty is out, im just gonna continue use it and run with one earbud working and continue to write on forums and complain about it untill they break and then buy a brand that actually works.

Have had my PowerBeats Pro for more than 2 years and starting to experience this issue with my left earbud. Fully charged (I always keep them in the case) and after about 30 minutes or so, the left bud dies. When I put it back in the charging case, it immediately shows up as almost fully charged. Very disappointing. They were my favorite until I had to start wearing eyeglasses and they became a bit uncomfortable and ended up buying the Airpods Pro because they don't have the ear hook.

My boyfriend got his PowerBeats Pro as a gift from me and is also having the issue to the point that he ended up buying a refurbished pair.

I am certain about it too. It isn’t a software issue it more likely to be a manufacturing defect.

as i have purchased it at the very beginning of it’s release and it got this 55% issue in around mid 2021 after about 2 years since i started using it.

Also, i have had tried using it with android phone, if there is a software issue then certainly 55% issue wouldn’t have happened with android.
