PowerBeats Pro shutting down with battery

When using my Powerbeats Pro, the left earpiece shuts down randomly, even if it shows more than 80% battery on my iPhone. This only happens with the left one, the right one works normally.

How is this marked as solved? This isn't solved. I don't see any response that tells me how to fix my Powerbeats other than buying a new set or earbud and they aren't old enough for that to be a reasonable suggestion. This is disappointing and it really makes me question why I went with the apple product/s in the first place.

Apple, what is petty is you not acknowledging that there is a problem with this product and offering a viable replacement. We spend good money and are loyal customers. It’s not as if you don’t have the money.

Its ok to make mistakes, but please for your ESG compliance purposes at least, treat your customers with respect and stop forcing them to launch lawsuits…

Like everyone else, the same thing is happening to me. Mine is with the left-side. I thought that perhaps the earphones are old, but they were only purchase in mid-Oct 2019. They were working perfectly fine and now all of a sudden I just lose power on one side. I also noticed that when I opened the charging case with the earphones inside near my iPhone running iOS 15.2.1 that the charging levels seem to continually 'jitter' when trying to tell me the battery level. This is ridiculous! Apple, please fix this software issue. I was about to buy a new pair but reading all the comments and experiencing what I have personally makes me pretty confident this is a firmware/software issue.

Well ladies and gentlemen, since Apple is hot garbage and essentially robbed us, has anybody tried Raycons? I hear good things about them, but bad too.

It’s a shame the Powerbeats Pro have collectively **** their beds all around the world… they sounded and fit amazing, but don’t work as they should anymore.

Got these as a Christmas gift from my parents, and it’s a big bummer that something I loved so much has become such an annoyance.

Yea, exactly the same thing for me for the past 10 days or so. The right earbud drops out after 23 minutes of use every time regardless of battery level.

Absolutely disgusting that an Apple representative hasn't replied to anyone or tried to help anyone on here.

This happened very coincidentally with the announcement of the new beats fit pro releasing internationally.... Shame on Apple ripping their consumers off with a known defect and no product recall.

I’ve had this problem with my left side of my Powerbeats pro not charging since I bought it. I had to send them to be repaired and they could not find the issue. Still having the same problem now I have no warranty it was only good for one year. Not happy about this thinking about getting a different pair one that is more reliable. I’m done with being in the middle of a project or exercise and one side goes out. I also noticed that I can put them in the charging box and it will be 80% to 90% charged and then go back and be all the way down to almost nothing.

Unfortunately I will be in search of new ear buds love the sound of these but it’s not worth the constant drop of charge.

Here’s what’s going on with mine now:

if I use both for phone calls, it dies after about 15-20 minutes.

if I use it at the gym strictly playing music from my library, I can get exactly an hour out of it. Shuts off at exactly an hour.

This leads me to believe this has to be a software issue and not battery related.

Come on Apple! Troubleshoot this issue!!! It really makes using this product a very disappointing experience!

I found myself giving Dr. Dre the evil eye during the halftime show just because his name is still on the product!🤪😳😞🤬

I bought a new right ear bud on eBay because my right side had the 55% issue. My problem was instantly resolved. I’m thinking that this is just bad hardware. Just in case any one is curious, a pairing existing ear buds with new case doesn’t resolve the issue. My firmware version did not change when I paired the new right ear bud with my working left earbud.
