Black marks on white AirPods Max Headband

Strange black marks have started to show up on my headband.

It looks like the marks are coming from inside the rubber. I have tried carefully to clean them carefully with liquid laundry detergent but without any luck.

I am always treating my headphones with respect. Laying them down on the couch when not in use.

Never transported them anywhere or wearing them outside.

Do anyone know what can cause this or how to remove them?

Hello sMacj,

It sounds like you’re concerned about marks that have shown up on the headband of your AirPods Max. While it seems you’ve already tried using liquid laundry detergent, we highly recommend making sure all of the steps in the ‘Clean the cushions and headband of your AirPods Max’ section from the resource below have been followed.
