MacBook Pro mid-2015 graphics card failure

My mid-2015 MBP graphics card failed two days ago. It's this card: AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2GB of GDDR5 memory and automatic graphics switching

This MBP has worked flawlessly for six years, but a week ago I added boot camp and Windows 10, and it failed completely within 4 days.

Anyone else have this problem?

The MBP still works with its other graphics card, the Intel Iris Pro (2.2GHz - 256GB) in the Mac OS, but I can't run boot camp or Windows 10 at all.

Is it worth repairing or replacing this card so I can use boot camp and windows?

This MBP has 16 GB of RAM and 512 SSD storage.

I called Support, and they told me the graphics card is toast, but couldn't say why.

I'm thinking it might be cheaper to just get a new Windows computer than trying to replace the AMD card to make Windows run on my 2015 MBP. Anyone know?

Any advice/suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

I do not recommend throwing the Mac away. It is still a good Mac. Take a look at https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/force-2011-macbook-pro-8-2-with-failed-amd-gpu-to-always-use-intel-integrated-gpu-efi-variable-fix.2037591/. This for a 2011 failed AMD GPU, but can be modified to work with the 2015 version.

How did Tech Support arrive at this conclusion? Did you take it to the Apple Store Genius Bar?
