How can I remove the Softonic popup?
I've gone to extensions, and couldn't find it, I searched apps and couldn't find it.
It usually pops up in the upper right hand corner.
I have Catalina 10.15.7 on an iMac

As I said, I'm not a 'techy', but happened to see this in notifications...
So Softonic is somewhere in my computer I take it, but I can't find it...so in the meantime I turned off it's notifications
Question:
Regarding the HD slow speed. Can I just backup all that's on my computer to a portable drive and then reformat it?
Wouldn't that 'fix' everything, including HD speed?
