Intermittent Shutdown Problem on iMac 2017
When I attempt to shutdown the iMac at the end of the day, it refuses most of the time. Sometimes it does what it's supposed to but most of the time, all the apps and notifications disappear and then it sits on the wallpaper for about 5 minutes, then reboots. I did not have this problem while running Mojave. It started after upgrading to Catalina and is now behaving the same in Big Sur. I had to clean out all the 32bit applications going to Catalina, which I did. I also had some files left in my Trash when I upgraded to Big Sur that I couldn't delete until I had help from Old Toad who suggested that I turn off SIP and then try deleting them.
Anyway, I would like to have the iMac shutdown when I choose instead of when it wants to...
Thanks
