When my husband and I AirDrop, his phone comes up as an icon with my name AND a second contact that is an old deleted contact. Thoughts?

Hi, Kattywac, and thanks for reaching out to us on the Apple Support Communities. We understand you're having an issue with the incorrect contact information showing when attempting to use AirDrop with your husband. We'll be glad to assist you.

There are two possible scenarios that could cause this.

The first: if you and your husband are using the same Apple ID account. This would cause your contact information to show up when accessing AirDrop. To resolve that, you would need to use separate Apple ID accounts.

The second: You may have a contact stored somewhere on your device with an email or phone number that is now related to your husband's Apple ID account. To rectify this, you'd need to search through your contacts and locate any that are using any of your husband's contact information that is currently in use on his device.

We hope this helps out.

Cheers!
