My son passed away a month ago. his phone has always been on my plan. I would like to save and or print out all our messages, between us. how do I do that.

I understand that the method described above is time consuming and impractical for long message threads.

MacOS unfortunately lacks the ability to print and export messages in bulk. There is, however, third-party software that you might find helpful for this task (such as iMazing).

If you have a Mac it can be done.

• Text Message Forwarding to mac (Use Same Apple ID)
• On Mac Open iMessage > Select the Message Thread > File > Print > Save as PDF

• open Messages app
• sign in (if you are not)
• select the particular conversation
• From the menu at the top of your screen: File > Print > Save (output will be in PDF)

The problem with this is that an app on your iPad is simply unable to access your messages. Unfortunately, the only way to print the messages on iOS would be to take screenshots and print them one by one.

And if you don't have a Mac, is there another method?

Can this answer be posted in text, rather than a video? The video is "blurred out". I have a similar issue where the texts I wish to reduct to hardcopy are extremely important to me.....
