Battery draining out

Hello, I have an iPhone 7, it has 74% battery life, and it's still working, but these days it's running out extremely fast, I checked the battery usage by app, and it shows that Mail has used 87% of it in background, even thought it is not in background, Can someone tell me what to do? What is the problem?
