Messages app won't launch in Mojave

Late 2015 iMac 27", 3.3 Ghz i5, 24Gb RAM running Mojave 10.14.6 (merely to retain viability of Adobe software, due to my personal reluctance/abhorrence to paying exorbitant "subscription fees").

Messages suddenly ceased launching, returning message "macOS needs to repair your Library to run applications", then fails to accomplish anything but generate a problem/crash report "Messages quit unexpectedly". Clicking to reopen and generate a message to Apple simply repeats the cycle.

Followed earlier thread advice and DID find three missing fonts (restored), and deleted the referenced .plist... to no avail.

Your suggestions/solutions would be most gratefully appreciated...

I'm not very good at Crash Logs anymore. :)

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Whew, they've changed pastebin & made it harder, but after pasting in, click Create new paste button, then Embed button, then copy the URL...

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck. In a Reply before you click post, look for this to add longer texts...
