This is not a helpful thread. Yes backups are great but it doesn't solve the problem that OS 11.3 is full of bugs. My Thunderbolt bridge is broken and unusable. I use the Thunderbolt bridge for work and right now we have been down for 7 days ever since the 11.3 update was installed. It is Apples Fault. The question is not about if we should back up or that we didn't back up-- but how to get rid of the faulty OS. If you can't contribute positive fixes then keep your rude and condescending comments thoughts and actions to yourself.

Again, restore from a backup!
FWIW, iOS 14.5 works just great on my iPhone 11 Pro,
even after switching carriers. So does my M1 MacBook Air
and 11.3.1.
If you would have read the previous post you'd know that the back up is on the drive that uses the Thunderbolt 3 Bridge. Without a working Thunderbolt 3 Bridge the backup is not accessible. OS 11.3 broke the Thunderbolt 3 Bridge. So your comments about restore from a backup (which is not accessable without a working Thunderbolt 3 Bridge,) is not very helpful. But thanks for chiming in....

Which thunderbolt bridge is this? I am using the CalDigit TS3 without issue. Check to make sure your bridge has the appropriate firmware from the manufacturer. Also, a NVRAM reset may be helpful:

Not seeing any issues here. I make my living on my computer and work on tight deadlines. A proactive, robust backup plan is your only protection against unexpected computer troubles.

You did make a Time Machine backup before updating, right?
Boot from Recovery and restore from Time Machine.
That's about as helpful as a Chocolate Fireguard

How is it not helpful? What better suggestions can you offer?
You must be ONE of the lucky ONES
Not lucky. As I alluded, I don't install crapware.
Have you ever installed or run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up" or anti-virus apps on your Mac?
It may take a while, depending on the speed of the drive. I can't say. Maybe an hour or a bit more, hard to say.
OK, so how do I get my keyboard back? It's USB wired, and set as such in preferences. Wireless is off
I would unplug and re-plug Directly to computer.
