Wired CarPlay, should I pair Bluetooth too?

I have a wired CarPlay connection in my car. My car also has the ability to pair with my phone via Bluetooth (obviously for phone calls only).

If I pair my iPhone with the cars Bluetooth connection, will this cause any issues when I'm plugged into CarPlay? Is the iPhone smart enough to know to use CarPlay for the phone call when I'm plugged into CarPlay and to use the Bluetooth connection when I'm not plugged into CarPlay?

Thanks!

Larry.

Yes, The iPhone will only use one connection at a time. If it's not connected via USB, it will connect over bluetooth and use that until you connect over USB.
