I installed IOS 14.6 this morning. it looks all apps/functions no longer slow or laggy.

However internet speed is slower than before (IOS 14.6: Over 200 Mbps) after the restated

internet speeds are ranged from 100 Mbps to 130 Mbps.

after having waited for 10 mins to 20 mins, it comes to the previous speed.

at this point, my phone doesn't have any issue after installing IOS 14.6

Newest report. iPhone lost its Cellular account connection to ATT. Tried to fix that via my ATT online account, but was locked out. Called ATT. They said that they had noticed "suspicious" activity related to my iPhone account (not my wife's phone on the same account). That activity related to "difficult/slow" downloads, "etc.". So with that in mind, the agent walked me through a complete reset of my phone including erasure of ALL data. My iPhone was then restored using a March 4 iCloud backup --when the phone was working perfectly. Part of that restore involved downloading ALL Apps from iCloud and/or Apple App Store --I am unclear from which. At any rate, this morning, about 18 hours after that App download began, it continues --surly not a normal amount of time for that download to last? At this point there are nine "waiting" and two "in progress". Given the amount of download traffic still in progress, I was not surprised that Ring still will not display video of any recent stored triggered events on either of our cameras. When App downloads finish (if?) and the Lightning/USB-C cable arrives I will try the the sync of my iPhone to my MacBook Pro as someone suggested and then report.

I think I have tried everything everyone has suggested: Latest --Turned off. Left off several hours. Plugged into charger. iPhone auto started. Used iPhone while still on charger --problem persists. Also tried: Connected to MacBook Pro. Did auto-sync. Did manual sync. Changed music playlist. Again synced. Used iPhone while still connected to MacBook Pro --problem persists. Did proper disconnect from MacBook Pro --problem persists. One other thing --the last sync caused my playlist on the phone to disappear --possibly a result of the very slow data transfer rate? Any other ideas? Or --is it time to call Genius Bar for help? (Note: I have posted several times in this chat which taken together provide a complete history of everything I have tired --all without success.

I couldn't imagine why this temporary fix works for now. They also stopped signing previous IOS which we cannot do any downgrade process as for now.

I bought iphone12pm just to play PUBG MOBILE. I noticed a frame drop whenever the circle almost finish with 30/40 players left which never happened in previous update. I always record while playing the game, but as for latest update the fps goes drop super crazy like middle range phones whenever i tried to record while ingame!

Hi Guys,

here’s a small fix i found to work well on my Iphone:

1. Go to settings -> Your Apple ID -> Icloud -> Back up your settings on Icloud

2. Go to settings -> General -> Reset

3. Click on ‘Reset All Settings’

Let your iphone reset itself settings and reboot.

NOTE: This will not delete any of your content or media only your phone’s settings and will recalibrate your phone’s performance.

IMPORTANT: Check that your storage space isn’t full or significantly exhausted. If it is the you’ll have to free up a significant amount of space otherwise this won’t work 100%

please let me know if this helps!

Click on ‘Reset All Settings’

My iPhone 11 Pro Max has become laggy, apps take longer to open, and often have to be restarted because they do not respond when first opened. On the previous versions I did not notice anything like this. I have forced-restart the device daily without any improvement. I always close my apps as soon as I am finsihed with them, and the content on the device is the same as before the update.

My phone worked fine for couple of days after 14.5.1 but one day every app seemed lagging. Unable to redial on whatsapp, even settings lagged.

then i read one of the suggestions in this very thread/topic. Now its working fine.

Heres what i did:

-Turn off iphone and let it rest for a minute

-plug in the lightening cable and let it turn On itself.

…solved since!

Finally. I called Apple support. The walked me through a reinstall of the 14.5.1 complete iOS operating system --essentially returning my iPhone to "factory" new with a new install of 14..5.1 --not an update to 14.5.1, but install of the iOS. It did not help. Still could not use Apple News, Ring, Smart News, scroll various web sites, etc. --a real mess. Then --I thought to try something. I charged my WiFi setting to an exclusive 5G setting instead of the previous old setting. Everything now works perfectly. Research leads me to believe that there is something in the update to 14.5.1 that optimizes on 5G. Give it a try. Let me know if it works for you.

I’m experiencing the exact same issues with an iPhone 7 Plus ever since updating to 14.5.1, powering my phone down for the night, and then turning it back on in the morning. As with other users reporting here, it worked flawlessly before the update and is now rendered virtually unusable. No changes to settings, apps installed, or any other aspect of its configuration whatsoever have been made, and half its 256 GB storage is currently free. I repeat that it had worked *perfectly* before the update, ever since the day it was first purchased and used. The issue does seem to resolve temporarily when connected to a charging cable; however, the issue returns every time the phone is powered down and turned back on if not plugged into a power source. Unfortunately, a power source isn't always available should this problem persist. Needs a permanent solution ASAP.

I think I discovered the solution to my problem, though I'm not sure if this will help anyone else out. In the off chance it might, here goes.

Wiped my phone, restored via iTunes. Didn't solve the issue.

My battery was at 83% so I had apple replace it. Didn't solve the issue.

"Set up as new phone" then restored from icloud. Didn't solve the issue.

Mortal Kombat Mobile - I deleted the App, deleted the data (automatically asked when I deleted the app). Tried a few hours without it. Re-downloaded the app, after going through the tutorial it requires re-linked my account and so far I haven't experienced any 10 second "freezes." (inside or outside of the game).

It has almost been a day, but so far I have not experienced ANY freezes lasting longer than 1-2 seconds (which could be chocked up to background processing).

I think it was just a corrupted file or something having to do with MK Mobile. Additionally, since doing the above, the game doesn't appear to be crashing as frequently as before (which was a lot).

Good luck!
