My MacBook won’t update

Hi,

I have a 2019 MacBook Air and I’ve been trying to update it to the most recent software update (Big Sur 11.3.1) but every time I try to update it, it starts downloading and then a message pops up saying that it can’t update because an error occurred and that I should check my internet connection but my internet connection. I’ve tried restarting my laptop, I’ve tried closing all the apps but nothing works and I’ve tried to update it multiple times and it just gives me the same message every time.
