Since upgrading to big sur my computer thinks its running on the UPS, the only way to stop it is to unplug the USB cord from it - which won't allow the computer to shut down automatically if power goes off.
Any ideas?

Assuming you have your UPS status on your menubar, it shows on-battery? Sometimes after an upgrade, things tend to get a little mixed-up, especially if you have external connections during the upgrade like a UPS. I usually unplug everything during a MacOS upgrade.

Thank you for the suggestions, unfortunately neither worked. My computer still thinks its running on the ups.
I will just have to unplug the USB from it until someone comes up with a fix.
