RAM Usage Increases During the Day

Hi, this is my first question to the group and I wasn't able to find an answer. I run "Clean My Mac" and it shows my RAM usage starts at about 4 of 8GB, and within a few hours it only has 50 MB or less. Is this normal, and if not what do I do about it. Thanks for answering hat's likely a very simple question.

Cleanmymac is a malware.

It actually messes around with system caches, and fools you into thinking it is optimizing your machine.

Any software from Macpaw or Zeobit should be treated as a malware.

To remove it, use Reggie Answorth's AppDelete.

Then make sure all components of it are removed with Devon Technologies EasyFind and Etrecheck.

No optimizers should ever be used on Macs. Backup programs and keeping your hard disk less than 85% full are the key to happy fast Mac usage.

As to your initial question, depending on your usage, your RAM could

usage could get that high. However, it is likely the space is used up

by caching apps so they restart quicker when needed, various

data caches, etc. all of which all be purged by macOS as the need

arises. That is why it can increase during the day. As long as

Memory Pressure is showing green, there is no problem.
