Battery drain on iOS 14.6

Same issue with me - after the 14.6 Update my IPhone 8 has been draining the battery 🤬

I listen to podcasts while sleeping and before the update it was no problem if the phone was only charged eg 40-50% to hold through the night.

However after the update to 14.6 the batteri is now completely draining ie blacked out in the middle of the night even though the phone was fully 100% charged - ie this update destroyed my phone and made it unusable with suddenly no battery life time after the update 🤯

When these things happens you start to loose your fate in Apple believing they did this on purpose to make us buy new phones 😖

Das Problem ist bei mir wenn ich über Bluetooth Musik hören dann wird das Smartphone oben rechts Wärmer wo auch die Kamera ist. Wird wohl ein Update nötig sein?

The problem is with me when I listen to music via Bluetooth as the smartphone top right warmer where also the camera is. Since only an update helps I think.

There is no solution for battery drain and heating issue cz its apple fault to not address battery drain and heating issue sinnce ios 14 release ios 14 are full of battery drain bugs . It not resolved until apple just release an update especially for these issue for all series of iphones or we have to change our device i think . And i don’t understand why apple not to fix these issue there are now 6 ios 14 versions but they never fix it. Why apple why ?

That's how much Apple love us! New iPhone 13 is coming... Just spoke with one of the team member about my battery drain like crazy! They don't even know about a issue! This is a completely joke! They do that all the time hoping nobody will notice!

Since the alleged calibration 100% but before any of the version 14 crap it was 96%. I was one of those who went from full charge to 5% in 5 mins but that was false reading. The version before 14.6 was calibrating allegedly and battery lasted all day. Now with 14.6 my battery health shows 100% but had to charge 3 times yesterday with little use. Today down to 25 with little activity apart from posting this and 5 WhatsApp messages. Luckily I’m not travelling when phone access is a must in case of issues

Thanks to apple. I m going to sell my iphone 11 pro 8 months old device and i never purchase apple products in future thanks for giving me a worst experience i thought apple is best in battery compartment but i m wrong. Now apple follow the pathway of android now apple downgrade the many features

Yes, me too, but it has improved with time. It seemed to be the podcast app in my case, with huge percentage battery use immediately after update. Took 3-4 days for usage to drop. Now battery use is normal when I leave podcast app closed. YMMV.

i never use podcast app and i deleted that app before so, and now its 4th day and battery drain still happen in my 11 pro watching you tube 10 min and its drops 2 to 3% so why battery drain in my device any clue?

Even better the joker I spoke to said nothing wrong with battery and the reason was that a backup was required!!!

Obviously they don’t have a clue. Have to say if my team of testers put such rubbish out they would be looking for another job

I have same problem, after update to 14.6, my iphone X powered down after i woke up although battery has level 52% before. Hope apple solve this problem in official version 14.7 soon :((

everyone facing same issue that we had may be apple fix these issue in ios 14.6.1 or not hope so . But these type of issues potentially harm battery life and battery capacity. What we do now? When apple release perfect ios for everyone that never have battery drain and heating problem

I've put my xr into power saving mode hopefully it works. I've always had the screen brightness on auto. It's just frustrating that every so often when apple do updates battery drain is an issue. Hopefully ios 14.6.1 will fix it when it's officially launched 🤞

my Iphine 12 pro Max and my iPad pro

both have the same issue, my iPad has the previous ios version and still same issue,

according to Apple support, just now. Now many people have issues lol! I send them this link.
