Macbook Pro 16" Overheating

Hello -

I'd just like to share my story that i am infinitely disappointed with the Macbook Pro 16". I have contacted my store and i have also contacted my reseller - Both just to say that it's 'Normal' that the device runs hot. Sadly, i purchased the device a few days before the Corona Lockdown, so i did not have the opportunity to bring it into the store -

Anyway for anyone considering this Macbook, here's an insight into how big the issue is.

Newly Formatted device. Apart from TGPro monitoring and firefox, no 3rd party software. 95% of storage empty. No additional applications open. Latest update Big Sur 11.3.1. Regular day. Chatting, music and calling through facetime audio. Safari open texts and tabs. No gaming, coding, movies, photo editing or similar. Ambient temperature 20 degrees in airconditioned room. Battery cycle count: 250, Condition: Normal. Full mAh 7166. 16 inch i9. Computer so hot, it is uncomfortable to use. Touchbad working *sometimes* Touchid working *somtimes*. No it is not on a bed, yes it is being taken well care of. The vents have full opportunity and nothing is blocking the airways.

Batterylife:

1 hour and 34 minutes

Fans at maximum 5600RPM

All cores 65-100 degrees.

All in all, all my previous Macbooks have performed beyond impressively, both thermally and performance wise. The 3500USD Macbook can barely run a few applications at the same time.

The computer is so hot that after typing i am numb in my fingers and i have first degree burns. Due to this issue i must use an external keyboard and mouse to accommodate the problem.

I wish i was joking.

Considering the vast amount of problems across the web for this expensive device i suggest Apple to do a Re-call programme.
