Extract email addresses from a PDF/Text/Pages doc

I'm trying to extract ONLY email addresses from a document into one list. The @ sign is unique to every email address, so I was wondering if there was a way to extrapolate that based on the @ sign.

There's lots of extraneous data in the document. I've tried Automator but no such luck and perhaps I'm doing that wrong as well? I have the document in either Text, PDF, or Pages format.

Thank you!

A really simple way to do this with Automator is to set up a workflow like this:

I dragged in the 'Get Contents from Clipboard' action.

Then I dragged in 'Extract Data from Text' and chose email addresses in the dropdown, at which point the name of the action changed automatically to 'Extract email addresses from Text.'

Then in Pages I selected all the text containing email address and typed command-c to copy to the Clipboard.

Finally, I hit the 'Run' button in Automator and clicked on Results to expand that section to show the results.

You can select the items in results and copy-paste them wherever you want.
