Only One Remote May be Paired?

I read this on TidBits Talk concerning the new Apple TV remote: "...Once it is paired any previous remote is unpaired."

I take this to mean that my wife and I cannot use separate remotes, but must share one. Is that correct?

Thanks!

For the Siri Remote, that is correct. Same for all Apple TV (4th generation or later).

However, IR remotes can be used in tandem, and also the software remote on your iPhone or iPad.
